Special Gun Rights for Religion? (Updated)

Religion & Special RightsLet me start by saying I have no issue with people practicing their own religion and this is not an attack on anyone’s religion, it just needs to be brought up as I think it’s something that’s a major concern.  Certainly considering as firearms owners we are always being lambasted by the Liberals and the news outlets wanting stricter gun laws…. but then they let Muslims, Mennonites, Amish and maybe others to not have their picture taken and of course this would mean they would not have a picture on their firearm license.  Is it the same with a drivers license?  Do they have a picture on their passports?  All they need to do is have their leader of the temple/church…. sign some paperwork and that’s that!

This brings up many concerns and questions to me.  One how does a gun shop know that the person’s name on the license is actually the one purchasing ammo or firearms?  Are they allowed to refuse the sale?  If firearms (according to some factions of government) are so dangerous that we have to go through daily record checks, training and could go to jail for any number of reasons for simple mistakes, how in the world is this ok?

Since the Liberal government thinks so little of firearms owners don’t you think this should be changed?  I for one am getting tired of special interest groups getting all these exceptions to laws/rules.  Sometimes in life, we all have to compromise and do things we don’t want to and things like religion should not negate that fact.  If someone in this country wants a firearms license they need to have their picture taken.  Is it the end of the world that they don’t.  No, but in a fair and equal country, we should have the same rights and laws for EVERYONE.  If the government thinks it’s ok to allow special groups to get around certain requirements why do any of us need a license or even pictures on them?

I could go on and on but what do you think?  Please post your comments below and of course watch the Rebel Media video below.  The video is a little one sided as there are multiple religions out there that would be exempt.  But the general idea is accurate.
